After grinding but before polishing, Specialty Bar Products uses precision honing machines to reach exact internal cylindrical tolerances in steel bar parts and components. Considered a surface finishing operation, honing uses abrasive stones not to achieve rough geometries in the steel bar stock but to remove the excess material and achieve exact customer specifications.

Specialty Bar Products Company offers accurate and effective precision straightening services to eliminate curvatures or other irregularities in precision machined steel bar components. SBP’s precision straightening machines apply external forces up to the yield point of the steel to ensure that the finished component meets exact customer specifications as well as our own standards for quality.

Including button rifling, hammer forge rifling,
and cut rifling, custom rifling services at Specialty Bar Products
meet tight tolerances for superior barrels and barrel blanks.
SBP executes precision hammer rifling on Intraform
equipment, but relies on the Custom Single Spindle Rifling
Machines for button and cut rifling.
